形態特徵

Culms tufted, to 20 cm long.
Blade linear-lanceolate, 4-6 mm wide, 5-nerved, covered with tubercular hairs along lateral nerves.
Inflorescence a large open panicle, ca. 20 cm long. Spikelets usually 3-flowered, ca. 1.1 mm long, uppermost floret reduced to merely a rachilla; glumes chartaceous, lanceolate, scabrous abaxially, 1-nerved; lower glume ca. 1 mm long, slightly shorter than upper; lemma ovate-lanceolate, subcoriaceous, 3 nerved, margins slightly inrolled, pubescent abaxially; palea chartaceous, elliptic, 2-keeled, sparingly hispid abaxially, nearly as long as lemma.
Caryopsis ca. 0.6 mm long, surface reticulate, rounded at apex, acute at base; embryo 1/3 its length of caryopsis.

台灣 : rather scarce.
